# Periodicity Sweep
Sweeps the number of periodic repetitions of named subgrids (EMEPeriodicitySweep). This is useful for periodic structures like Bragg gratings: the number of periods can be swept without recomputing the modes, since the solver reuses the modes and the cell interface scattering matrices.
NOTE
periodicity sweeps require a Composite Grid with named subgrids. Switch the Grid type in Cells & Modes to Composite to enable this option.
# Periodicity Values
num_reps: Number of repetitions of each named subgrid at each sweep step. Each Sweep row defines one sweep step and contains one repetition count per named subgrid. Click Add sweep step to append a new row.
Type: integer
- Unit: unitless
- Constraint: greater than or equal to 1
- Default: 1
