# Mode Count Sweep
Sweeps the number of modes used in the EME propagation step (EMEModeSweep). The propagation step is repeated after restricting the propagated modes to those with mode index below each entry in the list, while the full solved basis defined by the Number of Modes remains available for interface testing. This is used for convergence testing: reliable results should be independent of the number of modes used.
# Mode Counts
num_modes: List of mode counts to evaluate.
Type: integer
- Constraint: each count must be greater than or equal to 1 and cannot exceed the largest Number of Modes in any EME cell of the simulation
# Enter range
Create an evenly spaced list of mode counts between a minimum and a maximum value.
Min: Minimum mode count.
- Default: 2
Max: Maximum mode count.
- Default: 8
Number of points: Number of entries.
- Constraint: greater than or equal to 2
- Default: 3
# Custom
Create a custom list of mode counts. Click Add count to append a new entry.
- Constraint: at least one entry
- Default: [2, 4]
