# Phi Settings
Phi Settings define the azimuth angle samples used by Directivity Monitor.
phi: Azimuth angle samples at which far-field radiation is evaluated.
Phi is measured around the global z-axis, relative to the local origin.
# Range
Use Range mode to generate phi values between a minimum and maximum angle.
angle unit: Unit used for phi range values and generated phi samples.
- Options:
- deg: Degrees. A full circle is 360 deg.
- rad: Radians. A full circle is 2 pi rad.
angle range: Minimum and maximum phi values.
- Unit: selected angle unit
number of points: Number of phi samples.
- Type: integer
- Constraint: greater than 0
type: Spacing mode used to generate phi samples.
- Options:
- Linear: Sample the phi range with evenly spaced angle points.
- Log: Sample the phi range with logarithmically spaced angle points.
angle list: Preview of the generated phi samples.
NOTE
For a full azimuth sweep, use [0, 360 deg] or [0, 2 pi rad] and sample enough points to obtain a smooth plot.
# Custom
Use Custom mode to provide an explicit list of phi values.
angle unit: Unit used for entered and parsed phi samples.
- Options:
- deg: Degrees. A full circle is 360 deg.
- rad: Radians. A full circle is 2 pi rad.
input list: User-defined phi values.
- Type: list of numbers or variables separated by commas
- Unit: selected angle unit
- Required field
angle list: Preview of the parsed phi samples.
