# Excitation source time

Excitation source time settings control the source waveform used for RF excitations.

# Remove DC Component

remove_dc_component: Toggle whether to remove the DC component in the Gaussian pulse spectrum.

  • Type: Boolean
  • Options:
    • True: Modify the Gaussian pulse at low frequencies to zero out the DC component.
    • False: Keep the unmodified Gaussian pulse spectrum.
  • Default: True

NOTE

  • Set remove_dc_component to True for narrowband or resonant simulations when low-frequency signal content is not important.
  • Set remove_dc_component to False for broadband or signal-integrity simulations when low-frequency signal content is important.

# Custom Source Time

custom_source_time: Optional custom source time dependence used for RF excitations.

  • Default: None
