Getting Started

The Folders (opens new window) menu on the Tidy3D Graphical User Interface (GUI) allows users to manage existing simulations by creating new ones or accessing existing examples.

New Simulation

New simulations can be created in the following ways:

• Create Empty Task: Creates a new empty task.

  • Folder: The folder selected to store the newly created task.

• Select from Examples: Creates a new task from an existing example.

  • Select from Example: The example used as the starting point for the newly created task.

  • Folder: The folder selected to store the newly created task.

New Folder

Creates a new folder.

Delete

Deletes a folder and its content or a specific simulation task.

Archive

Archives a folder or a specific simulation task.
